And did anyone notice, in the render posted by LondoniumLex, the World Financial Center is in New York and New Jersey now?
Isn't this thread about the Nordstrom Tower?

Yeah, I'd say discussion of a long-dead FiDi vision/proposal and its resemblance to another long-dead vision for the Nordstrom Tower is a little far afield... especially since we have at least enough information to go on to surmise it won't look anything like that.

Can't wait for more shots of the 225 W 57th and 220 CPS dual pits though.

In other news, I thought more should have been made of the fact that sales at One57 have basically ground to a halt with the emergence of the bigger, badder towers at 225, 111 and 432. I'm sure the remaining units at One57 will get snapped up eventually, but I'd wager it won't be until those other towers are full up.

One57 may have a hard time of it. I was floored to hear that 30 Park Place is already 50% leased.

Reminds me of earlier proposals for Transbay (Salesforce) Tower in S.F.

30 Park Place is a for-sale project, no leasing.

And One57 is a huge hit. It's already 3/4 sold out, at prices far above initial ask. They already have made a huge profit, and don't need to sell anything; they can wait and get their price on the remaining units.

Anyone in NY able to get a photo update of the pit? I am curious on how they are progressing with the foundations (if they have started it or not).

Then it's probably 50% sold. Good result for a building still U/C.
I agree about one 57th.

10.5.14

There is no foundation work yet, still excavation and support wall construction.

It seems that the tower has grown. For all we know, The design might stay essentially the same, but it seems that it has grown somewhat .

I'm assuming the 1490ft is to roof, not parapet. So we should be pretty close to the original 1550ft mark with it.

This is what I would assume has happened. Just some fine-tuning.

I agree. "In Yimby we trust!"

I'll gladly take the design with an extra 80 feet to break the 1,500' Mark.
