That's a bit harsh I think. This is a valid opinion, and when a prominent developer says that he would "short 57th street" people need to hear that. Not everyone reads all the threads.

P.S -- are you going to school for your developer education and if so, where? I'm interested in the field too.

I agree. Nordstrom and Vanderbilt are the two most interesting proposals to me because they have mass and weight, vandie more of course.

I don't like this trend of asymmetric skyscrapers:

Quote:
Just like One57 and One Vanderbilt, I like the style and the height but the shape is a mess with all these asymmetric setbacks. These towers are cool, I don't deny it, but not pleasant, they lack of harmony.

I think NY has many symmetrical crowns, like ESB, Crysler, 432Park, One 57, and I'm fine with some breakking the mold in order to spice things up a little.

Seconded. That's gorgeous. Question, though: what is that tower poking up between Nordstrom and the WTC/125 Greenwich cluster? 15 Penn?

Oh really? Maybe it's the perspective, but it seems very far East, in relation to the Hudson Yards towers popping up just to the left of the WTC in this render.

Nice except pretty sure 2 WTC will be built by then. Also I don't see 3 WTC.

They're all there, just obscuring one another in a direct row next to 1 WTC, and behind 125 Greenwich.

Agreed. There are no Hudson Yards towers though.

Nice work Zoltage!! NYC will look very sci-fi in a few years.

Yea ur right. I did not see it. I think 30 HY is too low tho. Don't you think?? It's taller than the ESB so it should be somewhat on par unless it's the "perspective". I dunno.

Probably a bit too low, but not very much I think. It is difficult to get the perspective right. Nice fotoshop anyway.

56 Leonard, I think.

That photoshop is amazing. Although I honestly can't see 2 WTC. And Nordstrom and Steinway are a little too far (it's hard to tell without One57, which I'm guessing is supposed to be blocked by the box in Lower Manhattan. Hudson Yards seems to be in the right spot, but I agree that it should be taller a tad bit.

Whatever. Still a great photshop from a perspective most would choose not to pick for something like this.

looks like a completed met life north tower it was supposed to be 1350' tall and 100 floors

I think it's too far West to be MetLife North, which should be right about in front of ESB from this perspective, and also probably wouldn't be included in a 2023 skyline render unless Xoltage knows something amazing that we don't. It seems too tall to be 56 Leonard peeking over those FiDi buildings, but I could be wrong.

Barring that, I have to think it's 15 Penn given it's about halfway between, I'm just curious about the design used.

...but in any case, we're going way off topic. Xoltage, once again, render looks great, and Nordstrom in particular looks unbelievable. Thanks for the great work.
