Nice pic. However, ESB looks at least 200 meters short. And Nordstrom tower is too much on the left...IMO.

... to correct myself, ESB and Chrysler buildings are just fine, but 1 Vanderbilt and Park avenue are exaggerated in their hight in this photo, and Nordstrom is too far on the left..

432 looks fine. Nordstrom does look a little too far to the west though

these renders are very wrong since they show about 430 meters of height - like all the rest of the towers on 57th street. And the actual height of tower is going to be taller. Or am I wrong?

The height is ok i think because it reaches 541m with its spires and not with the roof. The roof will be just a bit higher than on 432 Park Ave.

From recent documents, it is 1,490 to highest occupied floor. The parapet isn't included, so we could add another 50 ft there.

It's still difficult to imagine just how tall this is going to make the Central Park skyline. It makes One57 look puny.

From Oct. 13 but gives a decent perspective on work at both sites:

And this is just the beginning. There are many more potential development sites in play.

Isn't this U/c already? There are some parts of the foundations visible already.

Good point. I assumed it was the base of Nordstrom. Now I see that it says Neimans.

Based on these videos, this project is most definitely u/c. It should be moved to the construction forum. There is concrete and possibly some rebar in the hole.

Yeah, definitely U/C! The boom continues! This becomes the 6th supertall U/C since the boom began

The Supertall Boom Post-2008 Crisis
2014: One World Trade Center 1,776' -> Com
2014: One57 1,004' -> Com
2014: 432 Park Avenue 1,397' -> T/O
2014: 30 Hudson Yards 1,284' -> U/C
2014: Three World Trade Center 1,171' -> U/C
2014: Nordstom Tower 1,775' -> U/C

Next up?
2014: Verre Tower 1,050' -> U/C
2015: Girasole 1,034' -> U/C
2015: 111 West 57th Street 1,500'+ -> U/C
2015: Brookfield Manhattan West 995'x2 -> U/C
So we could have 11 supertalls U/C, T/O or recently Com by this time next year! And 15 in total w/BoA, Chrysler, Empire State and NYT
