It is now in he U/C section!

And that photo above really makes me wonder how much further this as progressed since then!

I wonder if what we see in that photo is the footprint for this section of the building circled in red; as it is towards the rear; but not quite, and is also fairly central length ways, the rectangular footprint also fits it well:

So this was supposed to be in the U/C section the whole time and we just didn't know it? I mean, we put it back in the proposed section for some reason involving what counts a tower as "U/C". Still feels weird seeing it in the normal supertalls section - it's almost like I flashed forward a few years.

Would be nice if they could install a camera somewhere so we can see the progress. Funny to see how far along they are are no one really knew, and that was a month old.

432 is amazing. You must see it in person.

Maybe they are building a secret S.H.I.E.L.D's underground base.

btw, some history. Here are some of Adrian Smith's projects with Spires, prior to AS+GG, which is the architectural firm behind 225 w 57th.

All truly great towers. Zifeng and Trump in particular definitely share a lineage with this (unofficial) design, what with the asymmetrical setbacks and offset spire. I wonder if someday there will be a name for this sub-style of architecture, "SmithGill Industrial" or something.

Yes, indeed, thought of the same thing as I was navigating his history of major projects. Adrian seems to have this unique style in an already cemented form of architecture. It's very industrial, with a futuristic twist to it. We should follow suit and call it SmithGill Industrial.

Construction is underway but we have yet to see a final final design.

The roof should be in the 1500' (460 meter) range through according to recently updated documents.

I'm anxious for the final design and height to be released. I walked by yesterday, and nothing is posted.

Last I heard expect a rendering Q1. Can't remember the source, so take it with a grain of salt.

The top 2/3rds of the Burj Khalifa is a spire as far as I'm concerned.
