The original 1 World Trade Center was completed on December 23, 1970. That was nearly 44 years ago. (Perhaps a typo?)

Is it just me or it really is one of the few skyscrapers whom first structures uses wood? I've always different kind of metals and sailcloth..

Yeah, the wood is just used as formwork for concrete, kind of like a massive cake mold. Once the concrete has cured sufficiently, the wood is stripped off.
