We must have a webcam to this site. EarthCam, where are you ?
A live webcam certainly would be nice in order to follow this project, much as was done for 432 Park Avenue. However, but I believe it is up to Mr. Gary Barnett (the developer) to make that decision, as Mr. Macklowe had done for 432 Park Avenue.

Thanks to ILNY for the great pictures he provided of the foundation progress. This what I have always enjoyed seeing in NYC: lots of activity taking place within tight parameters and constraints in NYC. The logistics for this type of construction is vastly different from suburban construction where space for machines, removal of excavated material, delivery of building materials, etc.is often less of a problem than it is for an active city site where pedestrians, traffic, nearby office or residential buildings adjacent need to be considered. The pictures by ILNY illustrate this clearly. ILNY, keep bringing us these progress pictures.

a webcam is an asset. It draws attentions and the developer can show the progress to anyone interested.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if they put one up once things are a little further along. And maybe they'll update their site with desaturated color photos of the construction as well!

So realistically 6 months to a year before this reaches ground level?

Can someone please explain why they've built two floors of basement levels in one section while they're still digging in another? Are they still digging for the tower, while the section on 57th street is strictly for Nordstrom's... is that it?
