I don't think that's an issue in an ultra luxury residential Tower. It's not like 100's of people will be trying to use the elevators all at once. The wealthy residents of this tower won't be your normal 9-5 job having people and generally come and go at all times of the day and night. Then, take into account that a certain portion of the units won't have somebody living in them 24-7, even though they are owned.

Nice! Although Sears deserves to be on there. Built back in the 70's it still has a higher occupied or structural height than a few of those buildings.

Nice to see the US still has some buildings near the top though (even by pinnacle) considering Asia's insane skyscraper binge.

Easy: most of the residents will be away at one of their other homes or on their yachts.

I wonder who made this. It's slightly different from the rendering that Yimby released in that, inter alia, there's only one setback at the base, instead of two.

Also the cantilever Seems less pronounced, and it does not proceed to the same height as in Yimby's render.

Seems like it is missing quite a few towers.

it's the same drawing used by the CTBUH, but from the tower's database page. It's probably the closest rendering to the actual design which hasn't yet been officially revealed.

One day fellas when NYC can have a massively huge mega tall tower! Maybe when MSG eventually vacates?? That would be the only space available in NYC to accommodate such a tower, otherwise we will have to achieve it...the NYC way! A super-thin-Mega-tall skyscraper.

World's Tallest vs. New York's Tallest.
