Good! Though I was really hoping for the 1,550' figure. Still though this is great news!

Edit: is there any news about extell's times square tower? I think that one also has supertall potential. It kinda dropped off the earth after a week or so.

A tower between One57 and Nordstrom would be amazing, something in between the two heights as well.

Gentlemen, we have a new tallest in the U.S.!

Oddly, nobody has commented about this.

Here's the list of floors on that document (there's also floor diagrams for all the lower floors)

According to this list, the roof will be 1493.67 ft / 455,27 m and the top of the parapet 1521.83 ft / 463,85 m. as Hunser already said.

Other information provided by that document, the cantilever apparently will begin at the floor labeled as 12th, 316.42 / 96.45m. above the street.

Also notice how some floors are extremelly high, such as the 8th and 11th floors, each almost 24 ft / 7.3 m high. And the floors 10 and 10.5 (yes 10.5, meaning there are 96 floors) are a whoping 57 ft / 17.4 m high!!!

The height of the floors on the tower vary, most seem to be about 12-13 ft high, with some reaching 18 ft.

The higher residential floor could be the 92nd, at 1394.67 ft / 425 m above the street.

I hope that some where along the top of the tower is an observation deck. If not I am going to have to sneak to the roof.

It's a residential tower so you might want to buy your tower climbing gear now.

JR Ewing posted a photo update on SSP. The crane is being assembled and the superstructure only has a bit to go before it reaches street level. The forms are nearly there already.

I'm looking forward to this tower more than any other under construction or already-recently built! I love the renderings it's going to make quite a statement. I have heard that the developer said that he would go higher than 1776 feet but then they said he would stop short at 1775 feet out of respect. I wonder which is true. It would be cool if they made it at least as tall as the CN Tower. I am really excited about this one.

Interesting quote they mentioned in that article. The word "categorically" makes me wonder his true intentions. With the spire, it could be 1795 feet. Without the spire, it's 1775 feet making it categorically shorter than the Freedom Tower since the spire wouldn't be counted. But, in the category of total height which would include the spire, it would be taller.
