See the column just to the right of the yellow crane, with the big square hole around it? Will that square space be filled up around the steel column with rebar and concrete? Is that the outer edge of the tower?

I believe that is a different project.

All the pics are looking north from a 57st perspective...and yes that is 220 CP across the street(58th).
The pit is the left side of CPT with the core rising on the right....

Awesome! So the core of CPT is indeed 2-3 floors above street level! Good stuff!

I wonder when Extell will create a website to market this tower?

Google Blogger is a special pain in the A$$, but I can keep all of my pictures readily available in seemingly limitless quantities. There has to be at least 3000-5000 pictures on my blog, which I can easily access through my school email. Other sites either have limits or require a ymail account which expires every few months for lack of logging into the email account directly. Previously my images would upload obnoxiously large, but they changed it about 6 months ago to upload smaller. If someone knows how to change the size of blogger uploaded pics in skyscrapercity, please let me know. Changing the size in blogger does not effect the display in skyscrapercity.

If you want to see any of my images in larger size, go to my blog through the link in my signature and click on the images. There are about 500 in the most recent post, so beware if you have slow internet of limited data.

This webcam is awesome. It shows all of Hudson yards and the 57 street supertalls. Should definitely have CPT in view as it begins to rise! Only downside is quality but it has everything in view!

http://www.erikthered.com/cam/

*edit* Actually it may not really show much of CPT depending on how all of the Hudson yards towers rise up, but we should see it at least peak over something *edit*

A very long time for very tall buildings... Both the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) have a limit for buildings at 2,000 ft. (but it could go a little over 600m since 2000ft is 609.6m)

Unfortunately I think you're right in that 30 Hudson Yards will block it. The good news is that 30 Hudson Yards will block it.

They never changed the name because it didn't have a name before. "Nordstrom Tower" was just an informal name given for the people here in SSC because it will have a Nordstrom store on the podium, but it was never the official name of the tower

I posted some pictures from your blog on the Journal Squared Thread (properly credited of course)

I right click and opened each picture in a new window and then again with the right button, choose the option of copy URL of the image or image path, and then pasted it in the message using the option of inserting an image.
Maybe that way is much work to do, specially posting several pictures, but the pictures are displayed in a big size.
