No, this is Extell, we may not know until it's topped out.

Well yeah, I get that. But what about the other columns for the tower?

Some floor plans. Easier to see if you do: Control + (scroll up or down with mousewheel to zoom).

It will have better view (I think even Times Square will be visible from higher levels) but 432 Park have (slightly) better location.

Many of the fancy stores are in the Fifth - Madison - Park Avenue area, and you would be surprised how much the decision to buy a luxury apartment is made by the wife (unless is just an investment, not the actual home). Also more office towers are closer to 432 Park.

Nice videos, punchydj. They really filled that hole in 2015!

It will be nice when it's visible from Central Park... then you guys in New York will be able to get some good photos of it from the other side (hint hint).

Good thing they have a "powder room" in the floor plan!

For now 1,550ft/472m to the roof/parapet. Most likely there won't be a spire anyway.

From the first floorplan: is the "residential terrace" in the cantilevered portion of the tower?

Something strange about the base of this tower is just how thin the steel sections are. Most super talls that are this thin usually get a near solid concrete core. If this does not I'm wondering where they will get the strength from. Just from the concrete slab on the eastern edge? J

The long red lines appear to be massive shear-walls several feet think. The red circles appear to be large steel reinforced concrete columns.

Basically the building appears to be a series of giant shear-walls with cutouts for doors, hallways and windows.

Those thin steel columns are for the podium, just like 432 Park.

Speedy, thanks for the clear answer! I wonder how strong this biilding will be compared to different designs in use. Those walls will need to be very strong to accept all those multidirectional loads.

Just like they did in the Burj Khalifa
