Casey Neistat? The things he does around the city are pretty extreme.

What's the consensus? Is this building still actively under construction, or has Extell called for a breather until they bring in a partner?

Still under construction. Just slower since they have to build the large retail base first and then tackle the cantilever.

In the recent news article about the retail portion of this building said the building was scheduled to open in 2019.

How I wish our current tech could decrease the duration of the construction at least by half for every new building coming up..

The first few floors always take forever because of a lot of transfer beams for huge lobby and amenity spaces and custom form work. Once it gets to the repeating residential floors, they can do 2 or 3 floors a week, since it is more or less the same and they can take the prepared formwork from a previous floor and move it to a higher floor instead of assembling new.

I've waited for Google to update their satellite photos on Google Maps but they still only show the hole in the ground.

But the other day I was adding places of interest on Google's MyMaps and noticed it has different set of satellite photos, which actually show the core rising.
