This is totally off topic but this a 2d autocad drawing I made of a possible replacement for this tower, how do you guys like it, comments or questions. This tower is draw at 95 floors and has a roof height of 1620' or 493.7 M.

That looks like that proposal in Chicago but that one is 2000ft. I like it though it looks great you should definitely take graphic design and development maybe you can land a job at one of these architectual firms

These thin supertalls with good design are simply amazing! Pass of impression of being even higher, mainly because it will be set close to a big flat area such as Central Park.

Yes, my design for Central Park tower does look very similar to the design for the Chicago City Spire Replacement, however I drew that before seeing the new design in Chicago.

It's good work, man! Strikes me as being of a piece with 10/30 Hudson Yards, or 45 E. 22nd. I'd actually prefer something like this as a complement to the other Hudson Yards towers (maybe where 35 HY is rising now or at 360 10th Ave).

One thing you'd have to contend with as a practical reality is whether you'd really be maximizing your value at those uppermost floors. By tapering in from what's already a pretty small plot, you're not going to be able to have the gargantuan penthouses -- and therefore the gargantuan asking prices -- that would enable your developer to recoup the expenses of building this tall.

That's the reason we're seeing the recent trend of ultra-luxury towers tapering outward at the top, instead of narrowing (see 45 E 22nd, 101 Murray, at least one of the designs for 145 E. 60th). Not that it has to be done that way; for instance 111 W. 57th has small upper floorplates, but makes up for it by making duplex and even fourplex apartments. But it's definitely the sort of thing to keep in mind when dreaming up these cool designs.

They really are not. The proportions are all wrong. Looks like a needle.

the latest renders, the façade looks great- but this needs the spire back and/or a proper crown (which would push the roof/parapet height past 1600'). In my opinion, either a 90 foot lighted crown making this an even 500 meters to the roof (1640') or the original ~300' spire(a REAL spire as opposed to the WTC-1 travesty) pushing the height to 1850'.

In regards to post 7187, I definitely agree with you in NYC duplexes see for a much higher value per square foot than non-duplex penthouses. So in a case like this with small floor areas making the upper floors duplexes would be a priority.

The only thing that really excites me about this building is its height. But I am looking forward to seeing the engineering aspect of the cantilever.

Yup but it's weird to see it in NY.I'm used to seeing the boxy and glassy type of buildings. This supertall is definitely an inspiration from some of the supertalls in Asian cities.

There are no Asian cities, or any cities in the world, that are building supertalls this thin. It's a distinctly New York phenomenon driven by its unique marketplace and building parameters.
