That rendering of Central Park Tower from broadway is insane. It is going to look awesome and the views of Central Park, Times Square and the Financial District. I remember watching One57 go up in 2011 and I was amazed. Now 111 57th, Central Park Tower, Tower Verre and 220 Central Park South are all in full swing, its crazy!

Now that's what you can call a skyscraper ! A sight to behold... In the near future.. It'll be so tall and slim. And so well displayed from the Times Square direction! Wow !

Nice building, but counting spires in total height is still cheating.

As ILNY stated, this is going extremely slow. Maybe they are having some issues with the cantilever? Does anyone know why it is going so slow?

Only by certain ways of measurement.

As I've said before, there are multiple, equally valid, categories for highest structure.

I'm familiar with the different categories. I'm just of the opinion that spires shouldn't count.

There had been some pictures of men working on the building a few months ago. But indeed it appears that work has come to basically a halt. They have put up one floor on top of the cantilever in the last 5-6 months, and that is all. They are either having technical problems or more likely the whole loan issue has put this on ice. I sure hope he gets those loans! j

I'm a little confused but I'll accept this as a compliment.

Not to get into the spire thing, but since this construction is so slow... I think they should count as part of structures but not part of buildings. Same with antennae.

This article details what's happening financially. They have an entire year now to get a construction loan to finish the tower.

http://therealdeal.com/2016/12/16/ex...al-park-tower/

"...Extell Development is slated to refinance a $235 million land loan at its Central Park Tower condominium project with new debt..."

"...financing will close just days after Extell TRData LogoTINY secured a one-week extension on its previous loan from Blackstone, which was slated to come due Dec. 9. Blackstone will remain in the deal, sources said. The one-year loan gives Barnett breathing room to secure a roughly $900 million construction loan ..."

I haven't followed in awhile, so please forgive me, in cnbnca's photo just on 374, 7479, I was under the impression that the shorter less tall was CPT, or is it the bldg. about 80fl just behind it in that pic, if its the way I think whats the name of the taller of the 2 at this point, it's name?
Or maybe the taller is cpt, but hell I cant tell anymore, please someone have the patience just to enlighten me.
