Obviously you're joking, but it will certainly cast a big shadow.

So is the spire back on or not? In reality, I prefer distinctive crowns but a decent spire would be a nice look in the cluster now forming over the next decade along the midtown West Side skyline.

I think this one will look most impressive from the street view looking up.

I have to say I never gave that much thought and I'm not someone who needs a spire on every tower, but now seeing all these pictures with one... in my opinion the tower would definitely get some more appeal with it. Would be really great I think.

Is anyone in Extell is talking about the spire coming back? As far as I know - they do not. Given the fact that this extra feature means more money for something which is not essential to the developer it is doubtful they will do it.

Just remember the story of 1WTC where the company that was building the tower decided to save 25 million $ on a special cladding of the antenna. And this is the most iconic building in NYC with all that associated with the memorial, 9.11 and etc.

So if they were trying to save on 1 WTC we can be sure they will try to do the same here. Though there is no question that the tower with the spire looks way better!
