It is going to fill a hole in the skyline nicely from that perspective.

Nothing compared to what cities in Asia have experienced, where the whole skyline is cranes. Also I notice the boom in Ny proposals has slowed. So enjoy this while it lasts because not much is coming in right now.

...Well,the cities you are thinking about look like garbage.
New York is a world apart;doesn't play in the same league.

My post was nothing to do with that "league" nonsense. I was making an observation on levels of construction activity, and it seems like I struck a nerve as you can't honestly say that all those Asian boom cities look trash. Plenty are incredibly impressive.

...You are right!..Pyongyang is really impressive!..
More seriously, beside some Japanese cities and Singapore all the rest is obvious junk.

There are 3 supertalls U/C in that shot. All 3 are orange structures with cranes on them. Since you already know where Steinway is (the one barely visible in the middle), to the left of that you can see the tallest of the 3 orange structures which is Tower Verre, and the one to the right with the yellow on top is Central Park Tower.

I think there's actually 4 supertalls U/C in that shot, between Hearst and 220 Park you can see the dual cranes of 30 Hudson Yards! Crazy image.

Nice catch! I didn't even notice that. I'm also embarrassed to admit that I still have a hard time telling all the Hudson Yards towers apart. Even though I live in New York!
HY is just too overwhelming and I can't keep track. Not to mention they all have a similar style and are extremely close to eachother. Maybe once HY is finished or at least further along in construction I'll be better at it.

I don't care if it was posted before. That is a very cool facade.

Photos don't really do the view from 57th Street justice, sadly, but I tried. From today:

TBH even though I knew the cantivelar would take six months to get done, I was still afraid this might get stalled at some point. The height is too good to be true for NYC. I am very glad it´s rising steadily and even has glass on the tower portion by now.
