I like the blue color to be honest ... its a refreshing change. I know its probably the protective coating but ... an ice blue curtain wall of glass would look very nice.

I personally can't wait for the blue coating to go... It's garish compared to what we'll be getting underneath:

Yes because its a blue protective coating it looks bad ... but if you designed the glass to be blue in the first place, it would look great ...

You have a weird taste. The tower would be horrible in such a dark blue color.

Riley1066, you have a taste that is yours and you should be proud to state that you like whatever you like. Don't let anyone dissuade you from doing that. If you think the building would look good with glass in that color of blue, I'm behind you.

In matters of taste, there can be no argument.

Is this how they build the supertall, with small "buckets" of concrete lifted hundreds of feet up one at a time? No concrete pipe ? Can somebody explain?

money shot. The cantilever is the most impressive part of this construction. It'll be mind boggling once all the equipment is gone and it's just hanging there.

That one glass near the right hand corner tells off what the nature of the glass underneath the sheet is

It seems very silverish. Also soon we´re going to see the first mechanical claddings. :-) Exciting times ahead here.

Sorry. Sometimes it's hard to tell in the written word, especially after I had just defended Riley1066.

Past a certain height, the cost of stronger pumps is outweighed by the savings of a slower and more labor-intensive method.

This building has pretty small floorplates. They probably wouldn't be doing this with a large office tower, but then that's why most of those buildings are made with steel.

It's a pity that sticking-out bit has a building under it and not a street. It would be a heady experience to stand under it.
