Sometimes, schematics filed with the DOB NB app are very detailed . At the least, they should give US an idea of the basic shape.

Isn't 1 Vanderbilt under "never-built" category or something like vision?
Or i misinterpreted?
What's the latest news on this: proposed?

1 Vanderbilt is what they named the proposed tower at 51 East 42nd next to Grand Central.
it's already a definite supertall. After the Midtown East rezoning is implemented it could possibly surpass this tower in height.

Prone? You mean like curved?
I don't see anything happen there before 2015.

It'll be one of the largest, maybe the largest of NY's office towers and definitely the tallest excluding 1WTC's mast. It'll go at least 500 meters from what the majority of estimates and projections I've seen.

It won't surpass 541m, but it will be taller by roof height.

This confusion wouldn't happen if you asked in the 1 vanderbilt thread. It's not like it's dead on page 10 or anything.

Yes, 1 Vanderbilt, I should have clarified. And 500 metres is only an estimated guess. I'm quite sure it'll exceed that height, but if it doesn't for whatever reason, don't get angry.

Guys!!!
Check out [www.nycdevelopmentnews.com].
The latest post by Grand master in page number 2 clearly states that "The Nordstrom tower crown" will top out at 536.48 metres. Isn't that a great news for we people??

....keeping in view the need of a standout figure in NYC, we have set its tip at the approximate figure of 536.48 metres or 1760 feet...
Let's phone a calendar!!
