Ive been up this one, Its awesome. The best part about it is from the top inside the building you can look down about 50 floors internally. It really makes you dizzy! |

Jin Mao Tower
I've just stayed in the Hyatt in the Jin Mao for a week's break in Shanghai and the building is awesome both inside and out. Close up, the external detailing is fantastic, and from further away the tower's silhouette soars gracefully. But the best thing for me was the tower's tiny footprint: it can't be more than 50m by 50m on the ground. Truly majestic.

cool combination of traditional chinese elements and western futuristic design, but i like the new 460+ World Finance Center, which will be built beside the JMB, way better.

The best of the best in mainland China, out of Hong Kong. Look at the interior. Suicide heaven for crazy people (but you have to climb up all thos stairs :{ )

A winner to say the least. This is a 9.5 for me. Great public access and a beautiful shape, especially on the third picture from the opening page. Very exciting and inviting.

Out of the "Asian Historic" Spires (Petronas, etc), this is my favorite. A little too ornamental for my taste, but soaring and graceful. Needs more large buildings around it, cant wait till the area around it fills up. A really impressive tower all around, if a little too complicated. (8.5 is a high mark from me!) |

Very tall and pretty building. 9/10 from me. Do you guys find it very lonely like standing in an isolated cubical?

I like it 8.5, but somehow I voted 5.5 earlier when I was in a bad mood.

Both tower's designs based on the numeral 8, considered lucky in Chinese numerology. Shanghai's Jin Mao Taipei's 101 (For comparative purposes): _
