The Haas Palace in Budapest, Hungary. Built in neo-renaissance style according to Stefan Linzbauer’s plans in 1873.

The problem is that the horrible buildings from the 60s and 70s are more likely to be replaced by new (glass) buildings, instead of rebuilding the old buildings. Parts of cities throughout the world has lost their soul because of those horrible replacements that architects did in the 60s and 70s, you need to replace whole parts of cities to get their old soul back

Indeed.
That addition makes much sense. The building we have today might be inferior to the initial one but it is definitely an improvement compared with its socialist predecessor.

I have always hated that building on the right, are there plans to demolish it and reconstruct the old one?
