Or what it could be is the core's getting reconfigured for the next section (if you look at the render it's divided into 3)

Last sunday the yellow crane was moving, while the other (blue) one had his arm folded down.

Than we can expect, that the 74 floor Al Attar Tower will also stop, if it will reach the 20 floors!!

As malec suggested earlier, I also think that the recent slowdown has to do with the floor plates configuration changing above that specific level.

It's somehow hard to believe that this is the tower and not just the core. Especially considering the fact that this will be a 300m+ tower. It will have an even more extreme height-width ratio than the Rose Rotana Tower.

It seams that the work has stopped becouse the developer has fired the contractor. The name of the contractor (Al Fara'a) has been removed from both the site hoarding and the project board.
