Very sleek-looking building.

I love the tower, probably my favorite of Melbourne's current boom. However, are they going to do anything about that hideous base? I notice one side has glass (and looks great). What about those white sides? Are they getting glass too?

Possibly not...

The renders certainly indicate as such but I suppose we'll have to wait and see what they do with it.

I really hope they do. They can't just leave it as it is, that's half-assed.

I'm surprised it's only 224m high. The renders made it look much higher, probably due to the fact that the actual tower is much taller than its base. Still a good structure!

The base does look pretty bad as is. Too bad, because it detracts from an otherwise beautiful tower.

Wow, I haven't been to Melbs since 2009 and now there are new towers next to Eureka as well as Rialto... And this 568 Collins is indeed a beautiful, sleek tower that perfectly complements Bourke Place as well as Rialto but what's with that rather unsightly base?

Melbourne's skyline beats the overly-dense, lack-of-height Sydney anytime, by the way!

...wait...wait...it's not over till it's over...the base, I promise it is not what it seems right now...but then, who am I to know...I have no idea, but then...I often make statements that prove to be right...or wrong... : )

This building is an eyesore - not to mention the poor transport planning in Melbourne with all of the building approved by "skyscraper Guy".... we are in trouble
