Rs 1,153.30 crore project in Karnataka for four laning of 80.02 km Hoskote - Dobbaspet section on NH 207 has also been approved.

Any idea of Contractor who has been awarded this project and completion date.

Don't worry next assembly elections BJP is going to exit,HDK will scrap this project citing no water source,which actually is a fact.

HDK had approved Nadagudi SEZ other side of ITIR .He is no saint who ever comes theyw ill loot land. one more fact is chikkaballapur is a vokkaliga strong hold .at vokkliga meet it was told to give water to Kolar,devanhalli,chikkaballapur by diverting netravathi or some river which i forgot

I am sure HDK will come to power,which I am very confident of,wait you will see BJP mlas mass exodus to JDs....

Whatever investments BJP brings to the state in its final year,its effect would be felt few years down the line probably when HDK is ruling,making him a hero

BJP has lost it out on all fronts in karnataka.A golden opportunity has been missed.

i think somebody from congress might be CM? people will quit JD-S and join BJP .JD-S can never cross 20-30 seats.If it was the case popel wud have quit by now .why r they still in BJP?.HDK with two wives and first wives son with 24 yrs and 2nd wife's daughter with 2 years is man with principles

The Karnataka Government’s proposal for setting up an Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) is awaiting the Union Cabinet approval.

According to Mr M.N. Vidya Shankar, Karnataka Secretary for Commerce and Industry, the state is very close to getting a nod for the proposed region that would house IT and biotech companies.

Tender for the first phase will commence once the Cabinet gives its approval.

The project is initiated jointly by the Centre and the state wherein the Centre will take care of connectivity needs by the way of highways and BIAL expansion in the form of a second runway.

Water, power connectivity

The state on its part will develop the layout by offering water and power connectivity.

The State Government has proposed to lay 60 kilometres of water pipeline to supply recycled water. For power requirements, six sub-stations and 65 km of transmission lines have been proposed to be set up at a cost of Rs 281 crore.

Mr Shankar said that the ITIR will come up 44 km from Bangalore and 14 km from BIAL. To make it accessible, a proposal to extend Bangalore Metro Rail is under consideration.

ITIR project

For the development of ITIR, the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) had announced that it will acquire 2,072 acres for the first phase of this project.

The project is to be completed in two phases and the estimated investment is around Rs 90,000 crore.

Consulting firm Deloitte has sent a detailed project report to the Centre highlighting the project requirements.

A majority of future investment activities and growth lay in growing the ecosystem of IT parks, R&D centres, residential townships and academic institutions like IIIT.

The project, when completed, would generate about 1.1 million direct and2.7 million indirect jobs for the 1.2 million people.

BJP has not lost an oppurtuinty, ppl of Karnataka are Thankful for BSY indirectly which gives one more chance to elect BJP back to power.

If everything goes fine BJP will 130 seats in coming state elections. whenever they are going to happen.

By chance if BJP loses - Bangalore urban/Rural district , Mysore ,Tumkur, Mangalore, Mandaya will be won BJP party with most seats in these districts.

Congress will never go for coalition dhrama - They have already faced adhrama.

worst case BJP (100) + BSR(25) + JD(S) 20/25 .

BSR will eventually join BJP irrespective of JD(S) , BSR party is the New Operation Lotus 2013.
