next time they will limit the no of tourists coming in, hope so to preserve the natural resources of the island, too much tourist flocking actually contribute to the deterioration of the place

I hope they keep Puka Beach the way it is. One restaurant in the corner is more than enough. I like the feel of the place totally different than the more popular white beach.

I love Rockwell and Shangri-la and everything, but why don't these big developers try to put up resorts in other parts of the country that are somewhat - but not fully - established yet...? like Palawan or something. I mean, Boracay, as you guys say, is over developed and has already been well established as a tourism hotspot. on the other hand, Palawan, and dozens of other islands, have been partially developed and established but still has much room for much needed better, friendlier developments. why not build there instead and help spur tourism in that area instead of building in already developed areas that are actually threatened by any further development..?

anyway, I guess this is totally off topic from Rockwell Center, but yeah... hehe.

Before they will build resorts on other islands they will wait first for the infrastructure to develop.

Bottom line is about profit and money. These companies and the people who own, run it are businessmen after all.

Any news on the Lopez Center? suppossedly it was gonna be the tallest building in the Philippines at over 1000 feet 52 floors. It would Easily top out the current King PBcom at 850 feet.Lopez Center is part of the second phase of the rockwell development..Does anybody have any latest news?It would be awesome if these project goes on.

LOLZ. typo error it must be 1000ft. 100 ft means 1.9 ft for every floor. Kahit si dagul hindi kasya don.

Well the economy is growing bigger and if we maintain the 6% and up GDP I'm sure the construction boom will be apparent just like the late 90's and the Phase II of Rockwell Center will also start.

for sure if the economy keeps on growing at the pace of 6 to 7% per annum then expect a lot of construction activites, there is a very good chance that the country will be having 1000ft scrapers and mind u they might be constructing not jst one maybe two or three or four at the same time, ill be happy if we get to have a couple of 1000 ft buildings before the end of the decade

i hope it would also be a "landmark" 1000ft scraper. i mean a building with excellent design. that would represent the entire MM.

The other countries in Asia may have taller buildings but the overall impact of our skyline is still very nice when viewed from afar. The financial districts of Makati and Ortigas are dense and not scattered out so it creates a nice skyline.

Indeed it is nice, but something like Lopez Centre would only make things better. A landmark skyscraper is often what people judge skylines on..but not to say without it a skyline is crap.
