sometimes when i grab a cigg from city_thing, and it's lit up and i'm huffin away... i sit there sippin my red wine thinking, why tha fvck am i smoking this! i think in my mind i secretly hope there might be some weed in there or something... hint tawm! :p

small pleasures in life for me are so far and free... i need some bad asses in my life... i miss my bad ass influences in perth... ^_^

It's currently been 4 weeks for me and never looked back. I have however had a couple on the weekends.

There is no use on punishing your self for something that can be a nice sociable thing, in moderation of course.

The biggest thing is finding that happy medium. Not thinking about having a cig but having one whenever and after not worrying about having another or about the one you have just had, if that makes sense. That way you can do it whenever you see fit and then can go ages without one.

And as someone has said already. Don't tell anyone. You need to make it as little of a thing as possible(even though it is big) so that you don't build it up to much in your head.

I have been using nicabate lozengers too. They take the edge off when ever times get tough. It needs to be something you can take when ever you get that craving. Not for eg a patch or a pill at the start of the day that only gets used once. It needs to be something that can be supplemented every time you think about it for something you used to have several times a day.

Also chewing on a tooth pick helps too

I've been smoking for 20 years, and am currently cutting down and trying to give up.

A smokers cough is nothing compared to weight gain, boredom and coughing up *yuck* that has been floating around your lungs for years.

My evil big green parrot has made me give up, he was stealing smokes from me, he tried unlit and lit. My husband complained when butt pirate pete (the parrot) wandered into the living room with a lit smoke that I had left under the rangehood in the kitchen.

I have tried to give up, But i dont want to i love smoking so much, Tho i need to cut down an im keen for like the fitness buzz, insded of being high all the time, I was meant to stop smoking but that juust doesnt work where everywhere you go theres a bong goin around,
Tho i desided this weekan, today can be an epic sunday sesh, an then tomorrow i will be sooo not stoned,

Ugh. Giving up is so hard for me.

I've gotten into this really stupid habit each week, where I buy a packet of cigarettes for the weekend - I have about 3 or 4, realise they're disgusting as and I'm not even enjoying them - so I don't have anymore and I throw them out in the trash the next morning. Only to buy another packet and repeat the process a week later.

I'm wasting $15 each week on having four cigarettes, but what I can't figure out is why I'm buying them in the first place if I don't like it as much anymore?

end of week three now , didn't want a make a big deal of it before now cause i've attempted soooooooooooooo many times and got all worked up just to start smoking a week later... i guess once i pass the month mark it will start looking quite promising. so far so good.
