Good news, there was an unanimous vote against the demolition of Atlanta's Central Library by Marcel Breuer. It will instead be restored by the architecture firm ADC.

Some more good news. The CBR Building in Brussels from 1970 has been historically listed, it's now protected from demolition or visual alterations.

It's going to get really interesting as these complex precast panels begin to break down over time. More and more 1960-1980 structures are being listed as historical, however the game changes when you switch from restoring wood/brick/stone to restoring precast concrete sections with flimsy clips that require ages and ages of patch repairs and removal of interior finishes for repairs...

They've managed to restore the precast concrete at Park Hill in Sheffield without any major problems. They didn't leave any noticeable patches either.

They did do a very good repair job on the concrete, however English Heritage did ask that the repairs were visible (so that you can visibly read the history of the structure) its not obvious most of the time, but it is evident close up, they even chose the colour of the pigment for the repairs.
