I wish they would pressure-wash the 40 years of grime off its surface and make it look new, though. Most brutalist buildings aren't recieving that care and end up looking run-down, which leads to less care...it's a cycle of degradation that has to be stopped.

Seidler House, Killara, Australia

This brutalist house utilizes nautre very well, which is why I love it so much. It complements the concrete perfectly.

Big like for the house. I really like when the architecture and the environment are merged into one.

See how nice a thorough clean can make a brutalist building look? A recently renovated one in London:

Brutalism fails so very often not for the buildings themselves, but for their settings, their integration into the landscape, and how they choose to accent them. They usually look much better in rural settings where they are not competing with so many other buildings.

This is a public housing complex in Sydney called Sirius Apartments, but its nicknamed 'the Lego building', for obvious reasons, as it resembles a bunch of Lego blocks stacked on top of one another. I personally love the building. There are a couple of public housing complexes around Sydney in this style.
