Some great images on this thread - especially good pictures of the Alexandra Road Estate.

Just for info, as requested by elculo - the picture posted by Copperknickers is of Cumbernauld, Scotland UK, probably late 60s or early 70s. Cumbernauld is a post-war new town and the main shopping centre complex has essentially never been finished - consecutive planners have variously demolished parts and built other parts, leaving a strange brutalist legacy. The cantilever structure on stilts still exists, but extrudes somewhat incongruously into a modern 'retail park' - Tesco (of course), Next etc.

There is still a lot of the main complex left but a lot of the original walkways have been removed.
