Yes, this one ain't bad at all, fits in perfectly with the same height as the naboring buildings and its facades works out great together
with the Gildesvangen building.

Daytime picture are handheld, taking this amount of photos with a tripod would require much more time. I use a tripod for night pictures
obviously, or a rock, or something structural if the winds are to heavy as they was in this panorama i took from Utsikten on Sverresborg
a couple of days ago.

However, i seem to want more quality and feel time has come to get a better camera, especially since Nikon D80 isn't good enough taking
pictures in darkness/in night.

Its a poor skyline picture, just as much as an aerial!

Anyway here is also a second partly failed panorama taken at the same spot, with a little northern lights on the left side of the sky (hard to see on dark screens).

Another panorama of Midtbyen (historical city center) as seen from Tyholttårnet. The panorama was taken today.

Looking at that panorama above (taken of Midtbyen/downtown), let me take you back in time to early April, just a little more than a week ago. I took a few
pictures as i drove through Midtbyen up to Kristiansten Festning, this is how it looked like!

Driving Gamle Oslovei toward Sverresborg.

Entering Midtbyen from Ila.

I took a walk around Ila a couple of days ago as the weather allowed it. Ila is a area in the western part of the city centre, Midtbyen. Today the area is mostly
residentials and some commerce as well as industry next to the fjord. But the area flourished in the 19th century when this became the entertainment centre of
Trondheim with dance saloons, pubs and liquor store, and in 1826 it was the site for the first Constitution Day parade in Norway. Ila is divided in two more or less
by Ilaparken, a park built and finished to the 900th anniversary of Trondheim. I should also mention that back in 1180 King Sverre Sigurdsson won a great battle
over King Magnus Erlingsson in Ila (this was during the civil war era in Norway).

Close-up map of Ila.

Apotekergården (Ilevollen 2) built in the 1890s.

Ila also host one of the two Waldorf-schools (Steinerskolen) in Trondheim. The main building on the left was built in 1877 by architect Ole Falck Ebbell.

Looking down Mellomila street.

Mellomila 39, built in 1960 replaced Aunegården, a 2 floor wooden building built in 1810.

Mellomila 22 and 24, by architect Johan Osness, used to be a industrial building for Trondhjems Kjæks og
Knækkebrødfabrikk which was in operation around 1900. It became Erbe & Søn A/S in 1915, and later merged with Nidar
which is Norway's largest producer of candy and chocolate today.

Mellomila 4 built in 1900 by architect Johan Osness og Hans Guldahl.

Mellomila 2, Edlergården, a former guest house.

Then to the quarters south of Ilaparken. Its hard to find any information about any of these buildings, but most of them were built during the first two
decades of the 20th century as they decided to turn large parts of Ila into residentials for industrial workers.

Building on the corner of Bergsligata and Osloveien.
