Nevrosenteret was completed in 2006 and is 31 000m2 large. This includes the eastern building, Nevro Øst and the hotel, so three buildings in total.

There are also two more buildings i'd like to show, Øya Helsetun and Sykehusapoteket. These are not apart of St. Olavs Hospital, but is located
here as well since they are of the same usage. Øya Helsetun was completed in 2008 and is 25 000m2 large. ![]() Aerial photography by Helsebygg Midt-Norge ![]() ![]()

Fantastic. From what I've seen, Trondheim, Bergen and Ålesund are architectually unmatched within Norway

Thanks again for the pictures. After a lot of turmoil before the construction started, I am actually quite impressed how they have been able to build a completely new hospital while still treating patients.
Note sure who "everybody" is, but it could be a mixup with vitenskapsmuseet or vitenskapsforeningen, I guess.

This winter i also tried to capture some last pictures of the previous hospital building, one of the most massive highrises in Norway.
This is how the site looked like yesterday, with ground works on the new hospital building which will be completed in 2013. ![]() This was taken exactly one year ago, the yellow building in the middle is the hospital building. ![]() Aerial photography by Helsebygg Midt-Norge Destruction progress as of 5 of February 2011. ![]()

Despite bad weather for weeks in Trondheim i've been trying to get some pictures of a few building that has been completed in the last two years.
Olav Tryggvasons gate 12 Ill start off easy with just two pictures of Olav Tryggvasons gate 12, a building completed last year. Its a 980m2 large building with some offices and shops. This is what replaced a three floor wooden building that burned down to the ground in a fire in February 2003. ![]()

Søndre Gate 24/Gjelvangveita 7
Nabouring Olav Tryggvasons gate 12 is Søndre Gate 24/Gjelvangveita 7. It was the location of Sotaaen-gården which was built following a major fire in 1841. This wooden building burned down to the ground in 2006. The new building was completed in 2010 and is occupied by Thon Hotel Gildevangen and a shop in the first floor. The building it self is designed with two different facades, a brick facade facing Søndre Gate, and with a wooden facade facing Gjelvangveita/Storchveita. ![]() The main Thon Hotel Gildevangen building built in 1908. ![]() ![]() The wooden facade facing the corner of Gjelvangveita and Storchveita.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I feel like making a new SSC-meme, right now. It goes as this:
You know your developer is cheap when... ...they he can't afford concrete tiles the last meter to the building wall. ![]() Please ad this it to your own favorite cut-back projects!
