MARSA MATRUH | Almaza Bay | Under Construction
Located on the far shores of the yet untouched Mediterranean Sea, 38 km east of Marsa Matrouh International Airport, Almaza Bay offers natural tranquility with an extensive menu of entertainment, leisure and recreation options to cater to all tastes and moods. The 5 million square meter Almaza Bay Resort boasts a lengthy 2.5 km of flawless beachfront in an area known to have the most pristine beaches in the world. The soft white shell-beach sands and calm turquoise waters can be a meditation experience like no other or a playground of water activities. Almaza Bay is the company’s first development project on the North Coast. With the existing Almaza Beach Resort, the five up and coming new hotels and the world class residential facilities underway, choosing Almaza Bay as a second home becomes a feasible and attractive option. The Almaza Bay project is designed by the internationally acclaimed Tom Krause, architect and managing director of one of Germany’s leading architecture firms. The different residences are inspired by a Mediterranean style of architecture with aesthetically enticing exteriors and lavishly logical modern interiors. Almaza Bay will consist of 3,500 of the widest variety of residences including Elegant Villas, Town Houses, Studios and Apartments. You’re bound to find the property of your dreams. As a southern member of the Mediterranean’s coastal gems, Almaza Bay residences will be privy to temperate climates all year round. As a leisure destination for tourists from all over the world, the resort will be equipped with cutting edge facilities, attracting families and individuals alike. As the forerunner of the entire Almaza Bay project, Travco International Holding has placed great importance on providing a diverse range of activities and entertainment facilities to meet the expectations of even our most discerning guests. On a tour around the Mersa Matruh governorate, Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif, accompanied by several ministers, visited and launched several developments in the area. Moreover, the governor shed light upon the 6.2 million m2 Almaza Bay development project of Travco Group which offers luxury through a host of leisure and recreational facilities. With One hotel up and running, Jaz Almaza Beach Resort, and Jaz Crystal due to open its doors to its guests very soon, and 3 more under construction, the total number of guest rooms added to the total hotel capacity of the governorate will reach up to approximately 1500. Almaza Bay Resort also offers 3500 residential properties of international standards. All these exquisite properties are surrounded by lush gardens and heavenly scenery, as well as the overwhelming sea scent and crystal clear turquoise waters. In line with the National strategy, the resort development was built with an eye to attract an influx of foreign revenue to the country through the inbound tourism to the hotels and through the residential ownership now open for foreigners upon signing of the free hold real-estate law. Commenting on the visit, Mr. Hamed El Chiaty, Chairman and CEO of Travco Group stated: "The current developments are aimed to place the North Coast on the International tourism map and is built to compete with international Mediterranean destinations. Hence the company plans to invest almost EP5bn EGP into this mega project which will offer up to 4000 employment opportunities. The Almaza Bay project has already attracted the attention of international holiday makers who flock into the JAZ Almaza Beach Resort hence generating a high volume of inbound flights into the Matruh International Airport. That of course is the contribution of our partner tour operators who have scheduled weekly flights into the area with the aim of exploring Egypt's new and budding tourist spot." http://www.ameinfo.com/165468.html Last edited by egypt69; July 7th, 2010 at 03:31 PM. |

Heard of this project before, the rapid development of the North Coast looks promising.

I hope these mega-developments don't cause more trouble with the nuclear reactor plans in that area.
It would be preposterous if a few villas and swimming pools force the nuclear development of Dab'a to go elsewhere. It's the best location in Egypt for a reactor - hands down. |

Wow! it's awesome! I think Mersa Mathruh will become a nice tourist city too like Marsa Alam. Matruh is very popular by local Egyptians I hope it will be popular for foreign people too

Nope, we'll have to wait until the court decided
hopefully if they started construction they'll have to pay the difference or they'll continue construction and from the profit they'll have to pay the difference, either way If the construction already started I doubt if they'll waste everything and stop it. Look at Madinaty for example it's still on!but if they didn't start the construction yet then It's really hard to know now.
