So Wuxi will have a subterranean HSR station?
I thought that's just illustration for the subway platform?

That's why I'm confused: the train on the picture is obviously a HST, not a metro... but the picture says metro, and the thing is far too small for a Chinese HSR station

It is even happening in the Pearl River area cities (Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Hongkong, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Dongguan)

Dongguan right now is constructing her own metro/subway system. There might be a possibility of inter-subway connection between Guangzhou and Shenzhen thanks to Dongguan...

I think that will compliment the existing HK-Guangzhou rail system...

No it's too far away for the metro to go there. There are no plans for a line to go there.

The red one is the Wuxi line 1 train, the one on the left is Wuhan metro line 6 train, being produced by the same company.

It's amazing how many Chinese cities are building metro systems! In the US we have to beg the Government to even pay only half for our metro systems. Thanks for the updates and pics.

Edit: There's no article on the English Wikipedia about Wuxi metro (On the Chinese and Basque wikis yep. the basque one)
Edit2: Ok, there's now a paragraph here.
Any plans to extend Wuxi lines 2 and 5 west to Changzhou and lines 3 and 8A south to Su Zhou?

What are the respective distances between the CBDs of Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou?
