Will these or subsequent lines connect to the metros of any other cities nearby?

After double check Wuxi should be the 22nd metro city of Mainland China. Changchun metro, which has two lines totaling 51km, is missing from above list.

This is more of a metro than anything one would find in Changchun or Dalian.

Wuxi metro looks great. If I were a Wuxi resident I'd be so proud of my city. I'm sure some people will start to wonder how they lived without this metro. China seems to make sure their subway infrastructure is top notch. This metro looks just as good or even better than Hong Kong's.

Hong Kong metro is not beautiful at all compared to Chinese metros, but it is much more effective.

Changchun right now is just light rail I think so that doesn't count as metro. I think they are building 2 more lines right now which are metro though so it would be added when they open.

Again it comes to the discussion whether Changchun's 2 light rail lines should be counted as metro

Chinese "light rail" is usually elevated metro.

Line 2 will open by the end of 2014

After the opening of Line 2, Line 2 has started test run. Majority of the stations have completed. The whole line is scheduled to open by the end of the year.

Line 2 facts:

Length: 26.6km
Stations: 22

There's a Changchun thread at http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1518903. This sounds like that Suzhou map which found its way to the Changsha thread .

If line 2 is open, how can be line 2 in test run? They must have slipped over the keyboard, since it's line 1 the only one in operation...
