OK guys, I'll start with a discussion....

What is everyone's favorite London borough? For those foreigners here like myself, here is a list of the boroughs.

The borough of Camden seems to be the most diverse from Camden Town to Hampstead, Bloomsbury to Kentish Town. So, I would have to pick Camden.

What's yours and why?

Seriously it has to be Waltham Forest. Forget statistics for a minute, and go there. It's actually a very nice place. Good houses, great transport links, good pubs and bars, good mixture and integration of a multicultural society, THE WOMEN (and men for Tubeman) are amazing! It's like all of London's beauties love to go to Waltham Forst! Especially outside Leyton station! For a bizzare reason there always tends to be at least 5 hot ladies outside Leyton station! It's also "cleaner" than all the other East London boroughs. And the views from certain parts of Waltham Forest are phenominal.

I'm afraid it is. There are quite a few very nice and posh residential areas in the south/east of the borough, but the centre and north/west are pretty dire. But the people are friendly in the main and the transport links are excellent, so I can put up with the general drabness and the fact that towers are always proposed for here and never built!!

I got up at 5:30 this morning to get the 6.09 train to work only to be stuck for half an hour because of 'signal problems'.

Signalling problems are Network Rail's problem, not the TOC's. SWT are relatively powerless to do anything about it.

hi everybody...just a question... i am looking for a framed pic of the magnificent London city's skyline by nite...any ideas to find one.??? mb in some art galleries in london ? but i really need a recent one with the Heron you know...not the old one with the only standing up Gherkin...i dont know where to find...or maybe trying to take a pic myself but i dont know where to take the best snapshot of the London's city skyline...from my balcony it would be fine if only these buildings didnt spoiled the view whatever...if someone can advice me...it would be great for sure...cheers

Is RBK&C the poshest borough in London? Or are there more wealthy people living in Westminster (Mayfair, Marylebone, etc.)? What about Richmond -- is it mostly middle-class than upper class?

Should wait until Heron is properly finished. So you don't have an unfinished building in an otherwise perfect framed shot.

wouldn't bet on getting a skyline shot with an advanced stage or even completed Heron tower (as suggested above, makes sense indeed now we are so close to completion to wait for that) in a gallery all that soon. So the 2 alternatives I see for you are to either try to get yourself a nice nighttime shot (usually the most impressive pictures are right before nightfall) by walking along the southbank around city hall/tower bridge (you could also go the part of the thames path right to the east of tower bridge to have that one included in your shot). Alternatively you can check out the relevant threads (especially Heron tower and skyline 2010 one) for some great shots we regularily have by other members on there and ask them for a full size version on the thread or via private message..

RBK&C is pretty much the poshest borough but westminster isn't exactly common.

I mention Wandsworth because I stayed in my uncles Riverside apartment there for a bit and had a good time. There are some nice places by the river and I went to a few good pubs.
