Prada has x3 standalone stores in Melbourne, the 1st one opened was at Crown Casino, followed by Collins St, which is the Australian Flagship store, followed by the Chadstone store which opened around the same time as Collins St. Prada may be at opening up a 4th store late next year at Emporium Melbourne, the new luxury mall

![]() Wouldn't Prada Westfield Sydney be the Australian flagship? It's both newer, and larger than Melbourne's? |

I have a good feeling Prada will open up a 4th store at Emporium Melbourne Mall come late 2013, which might use the new concept ?

![]() What makes you think Prada will open another store at Emporium and, in addition, what makes you think it will be a flagship? To some extent, I see Prada's investment in Melbourne as being complete for the time being. 3 standalone stores vs 1 standalone store in Sydney...I think Sydney will be getting at least 1 new store before Melbourne gets its fourth. Sydney is certainly a growth market for Prada, surryhills recently reported in the Oz forum that their Westfield store is one of the centre's top 5 best performers (along with Zara, Nespresso, Harrolds, Gucci) I would think so, though I never found an official figure for the Collins Street store's GFA.

Because Emporium Melbourne was just released recently (about a few months) CFS were just exploring expressions of interests from retailers. Apparently they got a very strong response from both International & Local retailers, with international labels who don't have stores in Australia being very interested in opening up a flagship store. Also recently Emporium Melbourne developers also gave some clues about future luxury tenants who were looking for a store to compliment their Collins Street stores. Here's hoping for a 4th Prada store !
![]() And Sky_Is_The_Limit is right about Myer being the only confirmed one for Emporium. Emporium Melbourne is expected to be opened in end 2013- early 2014 !

Out of nowhere, Prada is expanding its Westfield Sydney flagship store to take in the temporary Gucci site within the mall.
![]() https://twitter.com/#!/westfieldsyd/...992897/photo/1 This means the store will measure at least 600-650 sq m when fully operational. Considering Prada was confirmed as a tenant at Westfield Sydney by June 2010 at the latest, this extension two years later is a long time coming!

Their men's section upstairs is tiny! I'll be super glad to see it expand, and more of that sensational facade!!

![]() Me too. Was upstairs yesterday and their mens range was very small indeed. I hope they move the mens bags downstairs into the new section and the whole upper floor becomes ready to wear and shoes. I feel like the Burberry, Gucci and Louis Vuitton interiors are much better thought out...hope the expansion puts Prada on the same level.

Prada in Dusseldorf has a spectacular area upstairs for men, so I'd imagine that it would be of similar sixe in Sydney, as the stores are comparable in size. (Dusseldorf is home to Germany's flagship stores for Fashion btw.)

Unfortunately not, the store's expansion will be within the mall.
Rumour has it Prada is looking for a second standalone location in Sydney...the two most likely locations are The Star Casino and Westfield Bondi

![]() Yes come visit haha ![]() Aside from the expansion of Prada, Chanel on Castlereagh Street, Emporio Armani on Martin Place and Hugo Boss on King Street are or will all undergo expansion/refurbishment. In addition British brands TM Lewin and Topshop are opening stores in the in late winter/early spring. Bulgari, Omega, Prada and Tiffany & Co are all rumoured to be looking for second locations for new stores whilst Chopard, Harry Winston, Paul Smith and Thomas Pink are all rumoured to be looking for sites for their first stores.

It would be nice if Chopard opens in one of those old buildings as their storefronts always are simple and classy
