Chopard is rumoured to be opening a 130 sq m store on Castlereagh Street near Bulgari. It would replace the old Omega store.

Some of the banks are moving out of Martin Place and there are large banking chambers which could house magnificiently grand and spacious flagship stores or be split up into several smaller boutiques. The ex-Prada site on Martin Place is yet to be re-leased.

Yup, Castlereagh has store frontages by Tiffany & Co, Georg Jensen, Bulgari, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Cartier, Salvatore Ferragamo, Omega, Ermenegildo Zegna, Gucci, Prada and Dior will soon join them. Both the mens and womens David Jones department stores are also on Castlereagh Street, as are some high end Aussie jewellers and consignment stores. Aside from the potential Chopard site, the other vacant locations are 1. Next to Tiffany & Co and was home to Escada before they relocated to Westfield and 2. Next to Aussie jeweller Fairfax & Roberts.

H&M has expressed interest in Australia but has not confirmed entry into the market yet. As such I'd expect 2013 to be the earliest we will get an H&M store. There are a few rumours as to where H&M could open. In Sydney it has been reported that the underperforming Esprit flagship at Westfield Sydney could close next year and be replaced by H&M. Additionally, H&M is rumoured to have been in talks to open at Westfield Bondi Junction. Westfield Bondi Junction has confirmed there is a 'Big Reveal' coming soon, so I'm thinking the site could go to a new international entry in 2013 (H&M or maybe Uniqlo) or could be Sydney's second Zara store.

Prada opened a new store in Moscow this year. It's their largest in the world, and is managed directly by the brand themselves.

Prada's irreverence arrives at Mexico
The italian brand opens its first boutique in our country.

Source: Vogue Mexico

Few brands produce excitement just by saying their name, and Prada is one of them. The italian house follows the steps of its little sister Miu Miu and opens its first boutique at Saks Fifth Avenue, in Santa Fe Shopping Center.

In a space of about 130 square metres , the store designed by the architect Roberto Baciocchi sells clothes, bags, accesories, and shoes from the ready to wear collection.

Notice the black and white flooring in most of the stores, this comes from the original store in Malian, another exciting fact about Prada store is they are all built in Italy so they can be approved Patrizio Bertelli then they are deconstructed and shipped to where ever the store is opening. Prada invest so much money in their stores sometimes going years before the store makes a profit after building costs. It's very interesting to learn about the ins and outs of the Prada world it is a truly unique brand.

Another ingesting fact is that in 1983 Prada only had one store and today it has over 400! Last year Prada opend 98 stores!
