Wow stunning. So many great historic market halls. Good to see a good looking modern one. Compared to like say paddies market in Sydney!

Is this the first contemporary modern, yet truly spectecular and representative market hall in Europe or even the world? I am not talking about large bland functionlist buildings but something like ... well, like the Rotterdam Markthal

Anyway, congratulations Rotterdam for this gem.

I've just been there and it's even more amazing and fantastic than any picture can show here! You also miss the crowd, sounds and smells of food on the pictures.

Well, all I can say is that the pictures look petty damn fantastic to me so it must be pretty incredible to be there. I visited Weert, Budel, Maastricht and Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago - wish I'd had the time to make it to Rotterdam to see this!

The end result might even be better than I thought before the construction, and I liked this project a lot.

Buildings looks great, but even more importantly I would love to eat, drink and in general spent quality time with friends there.

This turned out very nice, but too bad Rotta Nova was cancelled, the lowrises next to it on the right are horrible and a disgrace to The Laurenskerk, and there is no synergy between the individual buildings in that area, and too much space.
Hope Rotterdam will have a new boom in the near future.

Waarom market hall? Het is dan wel een engels forum maar komop zeg...
