dude, read your previous post again. it was you who said these are junk engineers from fraud colleges who are able to pay their way to get their certificates. you decide if you want to sympathize with them or not.

Indian tax payers need to care abt such companies & engineers as these companies are eating the crores of tax exemption by the govt. People of India are not paying tax to give it this way to fraud business men & the people who supports them.

But these lobby is so strong. Lobby consists of some fraud politicians who runs these colleges & the companies who are running with the help of these politcians.

http://www.livemint.com/2010/10/1320...-nati.html?h=B

Read this ... See what is the real result !!!

In the name of development, some people are eating the entire revenue of the country !!!

"According to the latest index, 22% of the Indian population is undernourished, while the proportion of underweight children in the age group below five years is an eye-popping 43.5%. What is worse is that between 1990-92 and 2004-06, the percentage of the undernourished has come down by a mere 2 percentage points, from 24% to 22%. And this has happened over a period in which economic growth has been far higher than earlier. What’s more, it has happened in a democracy. "

Read this too ..

Forget China, which has done much better over the period. Look at Bangladesh, whose proportion of undernourished has fallen from 36% to 26% over the same period. Or consider dirt poor Nepal, which has managed to reduce undernourishment from 21% to 16%. Or Sri Lanka, which reduced it from 27% to 21% over the period, in spite of being plagued with a civil war. None of these countries had the kind of economic growth we’ve had, none of them have had glowing tributes paid to them as an emerging engine of growth for the world economy. Yet they’ve done more to care for their people than we have.

Present Central govt & many state govts care only abt business men, real estate mafias, politicians etc. They dont care abt the poor people. So entire tax payers money is going into the pockets of business men & politicians !! Some people are calling this phenomenon as development as they are also getting a small share of it !!!!
your debating skills are poor to say the least. i don't know why you are talking about all this. and again all that you have written is nonsense.

I am not here to debate anything. You might want a debate & you are posting everything for debate !!! I am telling the facts & you are not at all aware of those facts. Thats your problem. Try to understand the facts !!! Dont think that u know only sensible things.

I am here “Not to argue and win but to know and to make known” - These are the words from the social reformer Sree Narayana Guru !!!

You are proving that u dont have any common sense !!!! Thats why u are thinking that the entire Indian population is living a luxury and u feel that it is improving day by day with the policies of the govt !!! You have false impression abt the country & its people.

You read my posts carefully & just think & analyse the things. Also please go to the villages in India & try to understand the people. Then u will know whether my posts are nonsense or not. Without that it is very difficult to teach you. I can understand your feelings. This is the problem with most of the people who are born & brought up in cities. They dont know anything abt the country.

Karnataka's IT exports to top Rs 90,000 crore this fiscal: CM

BANGALORE: Karnataka is on course to achieve IT exports of Rs 90,000 crore in the current fiscal, Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said in Bangalore while announcing an investment promotion subsidy to give a push to semiconductor industry.

Addressing 'Bangalore IT.Biz', an annual, state-sponsored technology event, he said the state registered IT exports worth Rs 38,000 crore in the first six months of the current fiscal.

"We are confident of reaching Rs 90,000 crore IT exports (for the entire 2010-11)," Yeddyurappa said.

In 2009-10, the state had recorded IT exports worth Rs 74,929 crore.

Yeddyurappa said with a view to attract semiconductor businesses to tier II and III cities in the state, the government has taken an in-principle decision to extend an investment promotion subsidy to semiconductor units in Mysore, Mangalore and Hubli-Dharwad. "Orders in this regard will soon be issued," he said.

He said the government is considering the inclusion of telecom in the proposed IT new policy being formulated, as mobile telephony is bound to be the next growth engine for the rural economy.

He said the proposed IT Investment Region (ITIR) project at Devanahally, on the outskirts of Bangalore, is expected to create four million jobs and attract investment worth Rs 1 lakh crore.

The ITIR will be an integrated township catering to the IT and ITeS sectors, as well as electronic hardware manufacturing industry.

Karnataka IT Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu said the acquisition of 2,000 acres of land for the ITIR has begun and the process of securing the remaining 8,000 acres would start soon. "It's the biggest IT project undertaken anywhere in the country," Naidu said.

Naidu also revealed that Karnataka and Israel are set to sign an MoU in the area of semiconductors.

Naidu said the MoU is aimed at sharing of technology and cooperation on R&D between the two countries.

International SOS enters B'lore with IT/BPO focus

International SOS, an international healthcare, medical assistance and security services company, today announced the opening of it’s third office in India, in Bangalore with an eye on business from IT/BPO sectors. It already has two facilities in the country, in Delhi and Mumbai.

International SOS hopes that Bangalore will become its gateway for providing high quality medical and security services to the IT and financial sectors in South India. “We are looking to expand our business in South India in a major way,” said Tanguy de Grenier de Lassagne, GM, India, International SOS.

He added, “IT and BPO firms in Bangalore see a lot of their employees travelling, within and outside the country, which makes the sector our major target for business.”
While travel risk mitigation is among the major services SOS provides in Bangalore, medical solutions is another major vertical today. In Bangalore, the company is providing customised medical solutions on campuses of IT and BPO firms.

It provides medical consulting, advising the company staff on occupational health, for instance. The company counts Wipro and another major company in Bangalore among its city-based clients.

The medical services they provide include onsite services, many a time in remote areas. The individual needing the service needs to call the alarm centre of the International SOS, and they will deliver the best possible aid.

“In case of lack of such a service, many people may just quit after going through any trying incident. Hence, it can be a retention strategy for many companies,” said Lassagne. The company has a presence in 77 countries, and now sees India as a key growth market.

The company sources said the services of International SOS is particularly useful for those visiting the US where medical costs can be prohibitive when one attempts to secure medical help on their own, or some other emergency very difficult to manage alone.

With many an Indian company setting up shop in Africa or expanding their business there, International SOS provides help in giving advise on various aspects on the geography.

World's top 20 BPO hotspots

Bengaluru remains the top outsourcing hotspot for fourth successive year, with high talent and established service delivery capabilities, says the Global Services-Tholons list of outsourcing cities.

The study takes into account the skills and scalability, savings, business environment, operational environment, business risk and quality of life in these cities. Cost still plays a significant factor in choosing a location, says the study.

Even as some reports suggest that the Philippines has displaced India as the business process outsourcing capital of the world, it is pertinent to note that India continues to be a BPO powerhouse of the world.

Of the top ten BPO destinations in the world, there are as many as six Indian cities. But many other cities across the world are soon catching up.

Infy Q3 net up 14 pc, disappoints mkt; raises FY'11 outlook

Quote:
Bangalore, Jan 13, (PTI):

Infosys Technologies today posted below market expectation 14.2 per cent rise in third quarter profit at Rs 1,780 crore, while remaining buoyant on future prospects on top of rise in global outsourcing demand.

The country's software major has raised the outlook for the next quarter and for the full 2010-11 fiscal on expectation of pick-up in demand for services from US and Europe markets.
Infosys which serves clients in U.S, Europe and various emerging markets, provides end to end business solution and off shore outsourcing of software services.

For the third quarter ended December, 31, 2010, the company reported a consolidated net profit Rs 1,780 crore, as against a net profit of Rs 1,559 crore in the same quarter of previous fiscal (2009-10), Infosys said here.

As per the marketmen, the results fell below market expectations as strong rupee weighed, dragging shares of the country's second-largest software exporter by over 4 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

"We were expecting Infosys to report at least 16-17 per cent quarter-on-quarter growth" an analyst said.. However, the company which has posted a decent growth in the quarterly numbers is hopeful of posting robust growth in revenue in the next quarter (Q4) as well as in the full fiscal year ending March, 2011.

"We are seeing an increase in demand for new services, even in an environment where customers are focusing on projects which could enhance their competitiveness in the short term," Infosys Chief Operating Officer SD Shibulal said.

The consolidated revenue of the country's second largest software exporter rose to Rs 7,106 crore during the October-December period of 2010, as against Rs 5,741 crore over the year-ago period.

For the Q4 the company sees its revenues to be in the range of Rs 7,157- Rs 7,230 crore, while it anticipates the revenue for the full year ending March 31, 2011, in the range of Rs 27,408-Rs 27,481 crore. However, Chief Financial Officer V Balakrishnan of the IT major states,"Uncertainties related to sustainability of the global economic recovery could create greater currency volatility in the near future."

Infosys said it continued to generate new clients in new markets, adding 40 clients during the third quarter. On the headcount front, the company added 5,311 employees in October-December quarter of 2010, taking its total employees strength to 1.27 lakh.

"Our attrition has further reduced and the employee engagement programme has shown good results," said T V Mohandas Pai, Member of the Board and Head – HRD and Education and Research of Infosys. "Employee referrals are at an all time high. Lateral hiring was a record this quarter", he said.

The cash and cash equivalents of Infosys declined by nearly 4 per cent to Rs 14,819 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 on quarter-on quarter basis.

Meanwhile, the Board of Directors of the IT giant has appointed R Seshasayee as an Additional Director of the company with immediate effect. He would hold office up to the date of the Annual General Meeting, when his appointment as a director would be placed for the approval of the shareholders.

Welcoming him, N R Narayana Murthy, Infosys Chairman and Chief Mentor said "Seshasayee is a rare corporate leader who brings the best of leadership ideas, governance and ethics".
