Stupid to ask, but is that Liberty Park and its fountain still present today? I haven't been to any terminal of JFK but Terminal 4, and I must say these vintage shots are kinda sad to see. The airports then had glamour and style, which sadly is not that evident now. Even LGA was beautiful then, but now, it looks so outdated.

They're pretty much gone (maybe a small patch of grass?). JFK has been made over so many times with expanded or replaced terminals, parking lots and ramps etc that vestiges of the grand old collection are scarce. A wonderful 1969 I.M.Pei terminal was just recently demolished.

A comparison:

Those buildings look like they came from the space age. Googie architecture is the term right? I'm pretty sure people were convinced that space tourism was going to be a reality soon.

Yeah, it's called Googie after a chain of crazy looking coffee shops in Southern California. It really was the Jet Age that inspired these designs as the space program was yet to really take hold but there were later visions of space travel from conventional airports, many of which were fueled by the Space Shuttle early into its development.

Besides Concorde, the closest these airports ever got to space travel were the Finnair offices in Manhattan:
