Belive me or not: most people are more than just tired talking about all (unnecessary) ethno-shit of the past decades.
The majority of the population is forced to to deal with the simplest questions of everyday life - the simple citizen is convinced that all political-ethno-bullshit questions of the past does not bring them forward.
So let us better look foreward how to cope the challenges of the preset time.
Let us better talk about development and construction, industry and traffic, economy and education...and...if there's some headroom left:
arts and culture - this are the real values of society

Still happens, but more so in politics rather than actual day to day life. There is still problems, and you still have your crazies, but time heals all. The wealthier a country becomes, the less ethnicity matters. If you have money to buy whatever you dream, then you don't give two pennies about what your neighbor is.

Well, in my surrounding that question is thrown where it belongs in trash. I can now surely say that Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most civilized nations. As Krasna_Sreca said more we become wealthier, more I give a shit about nation question and so on

That's a very interesting insight... from what i've read, ethnic tensions reappeared in EX-YU at the same time the economy went to hell (80s), so it makes perfect sense.. Still, relying only on wealth to keep the country (and its people) united sounds a bit like sweeping problems under the rug, doesn't it? kind of what Tito tried?

Well, I didn't say that economy is the crucial support for keeping order and peace. People are now more concious on how the world really goes. Religion is put aside, because people do realize the stance they are leaving now. Not to mention, that primary goal for all of us is to give some benefits to the society.

Well not only wealth. They will attempt to use the "rule of law". The kind of western principle of giving people the right to hate one another but not giving them the right to do anything about it, like discriminate etc.

I live in Bosnia on and off and I can guarantee you that as a Bosnian I feel safer in majority Serbian parts of the country then I do in many cities in the US.

Racial relations are much worse in the US then in Bosnia.

But you can never eliminate hate. Any you shouldn't have to. Its a normal human emotion. I am in Sarajevo now and I hate my neighbours. Totally hate them. They are dirty and rude. And I have no idea what ethnic group they are.

I hope that helps answer your question.

Can I ask, when will the next skyscraper along the lines of the Avaz Twist Tower be built to make Sarajevo an amazing skyline?

Hi, Fanatico.
Investors from Qatar, UAE and KSA are very interesting in that. In matter of fact, you should know it when the Summit of Economics begin in October.

Hvala Jarane

I heard that if the Marijin Dvor and Hotel Bristol are succesfull, more Middle Eastern investors will start to invest in Sarajevo, maybe Hotels or maybe Skyscrapers, but it will be interesting to see how things turn out in the next year

Thanks everyone! i'd love to discuss it a bit more but i know it's probably not the place so i'll ask a totally unrelated question...

Anyone knows a good recipe for Lepinja bread? sorry if it's silly, i loved bosnian food in general when i was there, so i wanna give it a shot at making lepinja here, i hardly ever cook anything, but i did try making a zeljanica based on a couple of online recipes and it turned pretty good!, at least to my taste :p, so i'm motivated

Well, yes. Not only them, but some EU see Sarajevo as a good investment. In general, Sarajevo has a great potentional, as well as other cities in BiH like Tuzla( I think 2 skyscrapers are built there ), Banja Luka ( no reliable data for now there, but we assume that they will get something too ), Mostar ( would be beautiful if gets skyscrapers, but the main focus there is tourism so it would be better to invest in tourism( that region visits nearly 2 million people and it increases every year ).

Okty1,
HERE. But assume that I do not know on what type of Lepinja you mean, because there are many variations.
