New York - Whats your favorite building? - Page 3

1. American Radiator Building (see jayhawker's post)
2. Woolworth
3. Chrysler

I don't think modern skyscrapers are nearly as elegant or beautiful as the pre-war skyscrapers, but if I had to pick a more recent building, I'd probably choose the William Beaver House for its unique color scheme:

For modern supertalls, probably the New York Times Tower

Yep, all of the leaked cables are online, so there was no "pretending."

I think NYC has a huge array of beautiful skyscrapers and those that come ti mind

Yeah, it is pretty godawful, but the colors are just so garish that I can't help but like it. It's, well, a lot more memorable than all the pale blue glass boxes lately. I'm glad it's unique though, as any more would be a visual atrocity.

I would have liked it better with bright red features instead of yellow ones.

The Flat Iron Building

The old Penn Station RIP

replaced with this hideous rabbit ward "One entered the city like a god; one scuttles in now like a rat"

The Chrysler Building

The Empire State Building

and the potter building

one of the earliest skyscrapers, and one of the last survivors of park row.

well, to mention one, which has not been mentioned yet, I really like 1 financial square..but that's only one of dozens of buildings I like

Mine has to be the bank of america tower it has the perfect amount of drama to the midtown skyline and its so elegant in its own way
