In the current stage of construction of the Arena Pernambuco, there are machines and also lorries strewn around the whole worksite. Some 350 workers are working on the site, but this figure should increase further in the surveying few months, as the work progresses.

The entire technical team has set up on the worksite, where the administration offices, as also the engineering and security departments, are operating. Alongside the offices, sheds are being constructed for use as a cafeteria and storage area.

The construction of the new arena has been budgeted at R$ 464 million (€ 202.60 million). If we add the operational costs, then the total price tag shall be R$ 532 million (€ 232.29 million).

With the process of preparation of the executive project currently under way, some adaptation are being made to the project. However, according to the engineer from SPE Arena Pernambuco, which represents the construction firm Odebrecht, the initial concept of the project was preserved: “We are strictly following the FIFA requirements book. City Cup unveiled
