^ you left out the UBER-interchange: The Dallas High-5

someone needs to post that interchange from all angles, its truly amazing!

whether or not you agree with massive highway spending and devlop. the facts behind the building of the high-5 and the actual physical structure itself are out of this world!!

I know, but Google Earth still shows the old interchange.

Here is a link showing this monster : http://www.texasfreeway.com/Dallas/c...005-04-27.html

By the way, Yahoo Maps is more up to date, here you go :

As concrete structures, they're impressive, although I wonder about some of those single-lane bridges ... personally, I'm glad my city hasn't gone too far down that road. Lewis Mumford (does anyone remember him?) asserted that one third of central LA was roadway & parking lot (known in this country as a "car-park": you know the old Joni Mitchell song ... "You paved paradise and you put up a car-park?".

As for Mumford's claim, can't confirm that, but I prefer a real park to a car-park.

Its not a real interchange. Its been 'photoshoped' - the bottom level is the 401/404/DVP interchange looking southeast however.

German interchanges are all relatively small and most of them look somehow similar, so I won't post pics of just one city.

the most complicated interchange i have seen is the 401/hw 27/egliton ave/hw 427/renforth avenue/carlington rd interchange near the Toronto Airport. All of those roads met on one interchange...

Here are some interchanges from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Starting to the west of the city, this is the eastbank interchange of I-310 with River Road. In the extreme bottom left corner you can see part of the Mississippi River.

Next is the stack interchange of I-310 with US 61 near New Orleans International Airport.

This is also near the airport. It is the interchange of I-10 and Williams Blvd. in Kenner.

This is the I-10 split with I-610 just inside the New Orleans city limits.

This is the I-10 interchange with US 61 and Carrollton Avenue.

This is the downtown interchange of I-10 with Claiborne Avenue, Poydras Street, and the elevated US 90 expressway to the westbank. The Superdome is the big white thing on the edge of the picture.

This is the last exit (or first depending on your direction of travel) on the elevated Pontchartrain Expressway before crossing to the westbank of the Mississippi River. Beneath the highway on the right side of the picture is the convention center.
