Some aerialpics from my hometown Vantaa, Finland. Vantaa offers access to almost all major motorways in Finland, making this town together with Finlands largest airport a superior place for business. The most important road is Kehä III which runs through the whole town (Ringway III, part of E18 which offers access on one end to Turku and in the other end St. Petersbourg.

Photos:

Kehä III/Tuusula Motorway - big intersection in Aviapolis region:

Kehä III/Lentoasemantie - intersection to the Airport in Aviapolis region again:

Kehä III/Tampere Motorway - an intersection that will be reconstructed in near future:

Kehä III/Lahti Motorway:

East end of Kehä III, a new intersection and the road will be continued to the new huge harbour in Vuosaari, Helsinki:

Kehä III/Turku Motorway in Espoo:

An 8-lane (4 per direction) expressway connecting Delhi and Noida.

Urban expressways are mushrooming like mad in Indian cities, transforming their faces considerably. All of India's highways have a 100km/h speed limit, while expressways have a speed limit of 120km/h. However, nobody follows them, especially on the Mumbai-Pune expressway (which feels more like a German road than an Indian one).

The picture is by Suraj of SSC India fame.

Er, no, in the UK we drive the 'normal' way (for right-handed people). Blame that left-handed freak Napoleon for forcing Europe to switch over to the wrong side of the road

Indian motorways should be an example for Colombia...

Btw here's more from my country

Motorway tunnel in Antioquia

Misael Pastrana Tunnel on the road to the Llanos(savannas)

Quick fact...Colombia boasts the longest tunnels in Latin America

Viaducts on the road to the Llanos

Some freeways from Israel:

The Trans-Israel ETR, AKA Road 6:

The Ayalon freeway, which crooses the Tel-Aviv metro are from north to south, AKA Road 20:

Road 2, AKA the Coastal freeway:

The Begin Freeway in Jerusalem. Alas, I don't remember the number, but noone uses it anyway (sadly).

Road 65, AKA Hasargel Highway: This one has traffic lights.

Road 1 AKA the Tel-Aviv - Jerusalem Freeway:

As you can see, in the mountainous part, the shoulders often are lacking.

For right-handed people (89% of europeans people), it's far easier to use right-hand to change speed. so it's more logical to be seated on the left and to drive on the right.

In Japan, most people are left-handed...and they drive on the left.

What kind of assumption is that? People writes with his right hand should sit on the left and drive on the right and vice versa, is that it? So what the hell happend to the people of British, Australia, South Africa ,Malaysia,Singapore or Hong Kong? So they got it wrong eh. So the hand writing is the one that chooses which side the country should chose.COME on.Dont be stupid. Some people are used to the so called British style and other may be the so called Napoleon style. Its not which hand you write it's adoption and familiar to the road system.
