This looks huge!

I'm really looking forward to see some more of this entire area to be finished. Nowadays it's all tall buildings, construction sites and huge roads in this CBD of Beijing, I hope they will succeed to save some space for livable pedestrian areas as well.

Hello China,

Did this pour go on the evening news?

It seems like the trucks are waiting for the last ones to arrive...

Outside China it would be almost rediculous if it didn´t make the news....

How many parking spaces are available for this building? Are there any government requirements that there is a certain ratio of parking spaces to height/floor space for each building?

They better speed up the whole cluster. Beijing's office shortage is becoming dramatic...

Does not surprise me, Beijing's CBD is kind of tiny compared to what is built in other Chinese cities.

There is definitely shortage. This complex is well needed not only for the magnificent architectural look it will bring. You might not realize it but number of residential looking buildings around the city are actually full of offices of small companies crammed into what used to be apartments.

But one also has to realize Beijing has several CBD like clusters such as Zhongguancun, Financial Street in the west and Liangmaqiao/Sanyuanqiao, Wangjing (which is being build up now as well) in the east. Beijing prefers to spread the office towers around different parts of the huge city, usually around subways or major intersections instead of having everything concentrated in one place.

I think it's a good height as is, it would look weird any taller in Beijing.

This buildings roof is about on par with the Sears Towers antenna. That is freakishly tall.

Great model! The only thing that would make it better IMO would be if the hyperbolic curve was a little more radical.
