Personally, those are the types of international artists I want to see. I couldn't give two hoots about the likes of Alicia Keys and Beyonce. They may be what the radio overplays the most, but if you look at a band like Evanescence that has sold over 20 million copies of their albums worldwide, and how little they're played on the radio, one will see that mainstream radio play isn't necessarily an indication of actual popularity. It's all about perception.

Rumours are surfacing that David Guetta is going to be at Joburg's Godskitchen next month, and Armin van Buuren at Cape Town's. Not sure how reliable they are, but they seem to be popping up all over the place.

To follow up on that

FAITHLESS

Venues/Dates:
Grand Arena, Grand West, Cape Town - Western Cape
Fri 04 Feb 11 8:00 PM (Open)

Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand - Gauteng
Sat 05 Feb 11 8:00 PM (Open)

Calling all the faithful. Dance legends Faithless are coming back to South Africa in February 2011.

After a few months full of acclaimed festival appearances including V Festival and Glastonbury in the UK, Faithless have announced a nine date arena tour in the UK in December 2010 as well as coming back to South Africa on the 4 February 2011 at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town and Gallagher Convention Centre on the 5 February in Johannesburg.

With the full force of a band as hungry as when they set out fifteen years ago (before they`d racked up 10 million record sales), Faithless released new album The Dance earlier this year on their own label Nate`s Tunes. The Dance sees Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo reach the bar that their back-cat sets so high, and Maxi reckons its "chock-a-block with dance tunes which we hope will be the soundtrack to many Saturday nights for a while to come."

And with a new record, comes a new chance to see a band who have inspired awe in even the most jaded gigger.

The full Faithless live experience will be exploding on stages in South Africa in February 2011.If you have been to their shows before you would know the best thing to do is to get your ticket now, this is a show not to be missed.
