Calling all the faithful. Dance legends Faithless are coming back to South Africa in February 2011.

After a few months full of acclaimed festival appearances including V Festival and Glastonbury in the UK, Faithless have announced a nine date arena tour in the UK in December 2010 as well as coming back to South Africa on the 4 February 2011 at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town and Gallagher Convention Centre on the 5 February in Johannesburg.

With the full force of a band as hungry as when they set out fifteen years ago (before they`d racked up 10 million record sales), Faithless released new album The Dance earlier this year on their own label Nate`s Tunes. The Dance sees Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo reach the bar that their back-cat sets so high, and Maxi reckons its "chock-a-block with dance tunes which we hope will be the soundtrack to many Saturday nights for a while to come."

And with a new record, comes a new chance to see a band who have inspired awe in even the most jaded gigger.

The full Faithless live experience will be exploding on stages in South Africa in February 2011.If you have been to their shows before you would know the best thing to do is to get your ticket now, this is a show not to be missed.

U2 "confirmed" rumours: CT & Jhb

http://www.entertainmentafrica.co.za...ease_type_id|2

Contributed by: Entertainment Africa News

U2 are definitely performing in South Africa in February 2011, EntertainmentAfrica.com can exclusively reveal.

When EntertainmentAfrica.com initially broke the news at the beginning of September, sparking widespread rumours across the country, record company and concert promoter representatives dismissed the report as speculative.

Now three additional well-placed sources have confirmed that the Irish supergroup are set to perform two shows in South Africa as part of their 360 Degrees world tour. Singer Bono, guitarist The Edge, bassist Adam Clayton, and drummer Larry Mullen Jr. are believed to be touching down at Soccer City in Johannesburg on 13 February and Cape Town Stadium on 19 February 2011.

The official tour announcement is expected to be made within the next week, with ticket sales to open shortly thereafter.

Jai Ho' concert in South Africa
Baiju NT [October 13, 2010, 1:25:29 PM]

As part of 150th anniversary celebrations of the arrival of the first Indians in South Africa, Oscar winner A.R. Rahman will lead a three-city tour of his 'Jai Ho' concert in Moses Mabhida Stadium (Durban), Cape Town and Sun City from November 20 to 26.
With his concert in Moses Mabhida Stadium (Durban), built for the recent FIFA 2010 World Cup, Rahman will become the first overseas artist to play at Moses Mabhida Stadium. "We are proud to be associated with A.R. Rahman's Jai Ho concert," said Fathima Hassim of DStv Indian, which beams a range of Indian channels into South African homes.
"South African fans can expect a fusion of Eastern and Western musical influences that will take Bollywood music into the future with this incredible production," said Sam Hendrikse, CEO of Hunta Live, who is co-hosting the show with DStv Indian. The A.R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour has already travelled to over 20 major arenas and cities worldwide.

Whats the ICC capacity. I think the bellville velodrome is bigger. Maybe they should use Moses.

http://www.u2.com/news/title/u2-return-to-south-africa/

U2 are returning to South Africa for the first time since the POPMART Tour in 1998.

With two U2 360° dates in 2011 they will make history as the first band to stage live concerts in the Soccer World Cup Stadio in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

U2 will play on Sunday, February 13th, 2011 in Johannesburg (Gauteng) at the FNB Stadium and on Friday, February 18th, in Cape Town (Western Cape) at Cape Town Stadium.

Tickets in both cities will start at R161.00, with General Admission floor tickets available at R401.00. Reserved seat tickets are also available, starting at R428.00 in Cape Town and R696.00 in Johannesburg.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday, October 23rd.

U2.com subscribers can enter a special advance presale for tickets beginning this Wednesday, October 20th and running until Friday, October 22nd.

Subscribers will be emailed ahead of this presale with details of timings.

If you're interested in becoming a U2.com subscriber and entering the ticket presales, here's all the details you need - including news of 'U2 : Duals'. This is a limited edition CD, not for sale at retail, featuring U2 collaborations with other artists.

See you on the road in Africa...

best wishes
The U2.com Team

acoustics at CTS would be insane with its compactness, but for sheer size SC would be great. Its a massive toss up but Im leaning towards CT. I hope the concert isnt going to be filled with AIDS & UN adverts though.
