Roxette to return to South Africa in 2011
Nadia Neophytou | 2 Hours Ago

Fans of Swedish pop-duo Roxette can look forward to reliving their hits next year.

The pair returns to the limelight after a 10-year break. They will return to South Africa in May during their world tour with a stop planned in Cape Town and Sun City.

Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle enjoyed success in the late 80s and 90s with hits like the Look and Joyride.

In 2001 they took a break from recording and touring when Fredriksson was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The two last performed in the country in the early 90s and cancelled their last scheduled trip because of the terror attacks in 2001.

Lady Gaga?

She refused to come to Morocco because they asked her to wear some respectful outfits to not chock people so she said no! Ugly Gaga, I really want to see her live!

This may have been mentioned before....

U2 Cape Town SOLD OUT
Today BIG Concerts and Live Nation Global Touring announced that all of the tickets available through Computicket for the Irish rock band, U2’s Cape Town performance on Friday the 18th February 2011 were officially SOLD OUT. Big Concerts’ CEO Attie van Wyk exclaimed: “This is an absolutely incredible response, which justifies South Africa as a premier live music destination”.
In an effort to accommodate unlucky fans who were unable to secure a ticket for this show, the organisers are presently considering installing temporary seating on the upper tiers similar to what was utilised during the 2010 Soccer World Cup. A limited number of Hospitality, Suite and VIP packages are also available for the Cape Town show through Warwick Hospitality and Events (011.467.8400).
The Johannesburg show, scheduled for 13th February at FNB Stadium is currently 85% sold, and Big Concerts expect the last few remaining tickets to be snapped up within the next week, which would make this show the biggest stop globally of the U2 360 Tour.

Yes, they were mentioning something silly like getting seats from Dubai when Gearhouse in South Africa will put it up for a bargain.

It might move the concert to about 80,000.

RAMMSTEIN

Big Concerts are excited to announce that the German, Industrial metal band, RAMMSTEIN will be touring South Africa for the first time ever in February 2011. RAMMSTEIN, who have achieved particular fame for their hugely over-the-top stage shows peppered with pyrotechnics and special effects, will be performing on 9th February at the Grand Arena, GrandWest Cape Town and on the 11th February at the Coca-Cola Dome Johannesburg.

Some bands entertain, Rammstein destroy! There are so few genuine rock monsters waiting to take up the mantle created by the likes of AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Kiss, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Well, look no more: enter Rammstein! With influences of industrial hard rock, heavy metal and electronic music diluted by punk rock, and gothic sounds, Rammstein have sold over 15 million records worldwide, including multiple Gold albums and DVD releases in South Africa.

Rammstein are one of the most successful German-language bands of all time. Bass guitarist Oliver Riedel once commented that ‘German language suits heavy metal music. French might be the language of love, but German is the language of anger’.

Since their formation in 1994, Rammstein has had no changes in their band line-up. Featuring Till Lindemann on vocals, Richard Z. Kruspe and Paul Landers on guitars, Oliver Riedel on bass guitar, Christoph Schneider on drums and Christian Lorenz on keyboards.

Throughout their career Rammstein have performed at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and arena venues including The Big Day Out, Rock Am Ring, and Sonicsphere Festival, and New York City’s Madison Square Gardens, which they recently sold out within thirty minutes of going on sale. Their first tour to South Africa is guaranteed to give meaning to the fans motto “Other Bands Play. Rammstein Burns”.

I'm so confused, above and beyond and 30 seconds to mars both sold out on the same night? or same weekend? and 30 seconds to mars has 2 shows?

people are obviously being paid too much.
