Time to go on...

After Cologne a quick drive through the Rhein Valley. It's an incredibly beautiful location with countless observation spots and attractions. I only did a quick drive-through, however even this gave me some idea what a beautiful place it is.

This is all from Koblenz. Our next stop is Zeche Zollverein, a former coal mine and now a UNESCO world Heritage site and one of the most important European industrial monuments.

To me Germany is one of the favorite countries and i enjoy to see nice pictures from there. By the way, some smaller towns look quite scandinavian there.

Next is Zeche Zollverein in Essen. It is a former coal mine which was shut down in 1986 and now is a UNESCO site and one of the greatest industrial landmarks and museums in Europe.

Essen in one of the European Capitals of Culture this year.

I like Dusseldorf the most of all cities you have showed until now in this thread. It has the most amazing historical appartment buildings (although only a few are seen), beautiful waterfront and impressive modern architecture.
Koln could take second place, maybe.

I must admit I didn't see much of Dusseldorf except of driving. It's a nice city as one may expect. However I found Koln to be more charming and chic. I just felt like it's closer to my sould than Dusseldorf. I'll post more photos from Koln later.
