Sridhar................You are right. That looks most certainly like Gurudwara & most probably it is. I did put Sunehri Mosque portrait from "dinodia" & it looks totally different from the image that is in question. Anyway, I deleted it & thanks a bunch for pointing that out.

We dont have most of these mosques close ups & interior pictures to have them rate the architecture. Its tough. I dont think we are ready yet.

We have to do it one mosque after another as we find the best pictures of them respectively.

Those Mosques out there are stunning to say the least. I think EACH of them deserves a thread in the "Rate our architecture" forum. I wish there were more clear pics. I will try to find them and will start a thread as and when possible.

Jama means "accumulation" of all. these mosque are built to accomodate all friday prayer people which is the largest gathering. Jama ended being many meanings. Jama=main mosque. Jama=friday mosque, jama=Jumma mosque. In middle east, Jama means "mosque" in arabic & thats Ironic.

HariR.............good luck. I tried looking everywhere for High resolution pictures. there are barely any. In most of the places, photography is prohibited. this could be one of the reasons.
