Great project, no question. But DCT is twise as tall, so Nakheel for me is not a competitor to DCT. It is to Burj Mubarak al-Kabir and Azerbaijan tower.

Except that DCT is a vision , while Nakheel was a real project .

And for visions, The Illinoi is awesome.

this project started ground works many years ago, but was abandoned when the Dubai crash happened.

here is the thread. sadly most pictures don't exist anymore. there was a dead palm tree and a rosting lock as one of the last updates, it were super sad times.
